This being the midst of Wildfire Season, especially in California, it seems appropriate to post this vintage animated Smokey the Bear commercial. The year seems to be unknown, but it is in black and white, and from the days when they were still called forest fires. Remember: Only You Can Prevent Forest Fires.

Man.. Smokey was my hero in the early seventies. I remember my old man bought me a Smokey the bear canteen which was shaped like Smokey's head when we took a trip to see the Red Woods in Northern CA. Ahhh.. Memories! Thanks for posting this!
